Vermat Heat Processed Bent Glass transforms flat glass into precise, permanent curves through controlled heating and forming. By heating glass to its softening point (typically 580–600°C) and carefully draping or pressing it over custom moulds, we create smooth, optically clear bends that hold their shape for life. Available as annealed bent glass for non-safety interior applications, or fully toughened bent safety glass for structural and overhead installations, every piece is custom-fabricated to the exact radius, angle, and arc specified by the project. From sweeping façade curves and sculptural canopies to spiral staircase balustrades and frameless curved partitions, Vermat brings the architect’s most ambitious geometries to life — with the same precision, durability, and visual purity that define all our glass systems.

Bespoke Curvature & Geometry
Every Vermat bent glass panel is made to order. Cylindrical, parabolic, free-form, and multi-radius bends are achieved by precision CNC-machined moulds. Minimum radius depends on glass thickness — as tight as ~200 mm for 5 mm glass, widening with thickness — enabling both gentle, sweeping arcs and tight architectural curves.
Full Product Matrix
We supply bent glass in the form that best suits the application’s safety and structural requirements: annealed bent glass for interior decorative uses; toughened (tempered) bent glass for safety-critical locations like overhead glazing and balustrades; and laminated bent glass with PVB, EVA, or SGP interlayers for enhanced security, acoustic performance, or post-breakage protection.
Optical Quality & Surface Integrity
Heating and forming take place in a precisely controlled environment to avoid roller-wave distortion and optical defects. The result is a smooth, undistorted curve with the same visual clarity as flat glass. Post-bend, we offer acid-etching, digital printing, and screen-printed frit options to add texture, privacy, or branding to the curved surface.
Integration into Insulated & Multi-Layer Units
Bent glass can be combined with other flat or curved panes to form bent Insulated Glass Units (IGUs) or bent laminated composites. This capability maintains thermal and acoustic performance across curved envelopes, skylights, and winter gardens, with consistent U-values and sound reduction properties.
Complete Edge Processing
Before bending, Vermat performs all required edge work — flat polish, pencil edge, bevel, chamfer, and hole drilling — according to project specifications. After bending, edges are inspected to ensure uniform finish and structural integrity, ready for direct installation or integration into framing systems.

- Thermal Resistance: Annealed bent ΔT 40°C; toughened bent ΔT up to 200°C
